Well, Christmas break is almost over. Have to go back to work on Monday and I am not looking forward to it. My mom is the math teacher at the school I work at and she and I have signed up to go to a science/math workshop at FSU on Monday instead of the regular teacher planning day at school. Hopefully it will be good and not too long!
I have really enjoyed not waking up at 5AM and running which my mom and I have made a habit of and then going off to work every day until 6pm and then coming home and starting all over again. My Christmas break has pretty much consisted of sleeping in til 9 or 930 which is very late for me! Taking a run through my neighborhood, taking a long leisurely shower, slowly getting ready around lunchtime, taking my kids outside to play in the afternoon and sitting back to watch a movie with the family after dinner! And I have loved every minute of it!
This morning we have volleyball practice and then pretty much nothing else planned for the rest of the day-it is so nice to just be able to choose what we want to do each day whether it be shopping, going to the movies, taking an afternoon nap!
I also start my class at TCC on Monday. I will be taking college algebra. Can you believe I was able to get a bachelor's degree without taking college algebra! What seemed great back then is haunting me now, this is the only math class I have to take for my degree, but it has been a while since I took a math class and I am a little nervous. Fortunately, my mom is taking the same class with me, so I have a tutor available if I end up needing one!
