"Fireproof"

Okay I just got back from watching Fireproof! It was amazing! To be honest I was going to watch it not for any spiritual reason but hoping to see some familiar faces from Albany. I think it took me about a minute to change my mind! I am a big fan of "Facing the Giants", until now I think it was the best Christian movie ever made! But I have to say that Fireproof reached me on a different level. I think anyone who is married or considering marriage should see this movie. Even if your marriage is going great-it makes you stop and think about what you can do to make it better.

My stupid van!

Okay, my weekend got off to a really bad start! Actually let's go back a little further. Last Monday we were getting ready for school and realized that Jordan had left his shoes at my mom's. It was too late to get them so he said he would be fine wearing some other shoes that were in his closet that we knew were too small. Well, to make a really long story short. He ended up having blisters on his feet at school and so I decided that between classes I would make a quick run to the Dollar Store and get him a pair of flip flops to wear for the rest of the day. We got to the store I ran in came out with the flip flops and was making some great time. Unfortunately when I got back in the van it wouldn't start! I had left my cell phone and no one had one to loan to me. There were no pay phones around and it was pouring down rain. I had to get back to school because my next class was starting any minute. (we were about 2 1/2 miles from the school. I went to call the school to get someone to pick me up and realized that i had left my cell phone in my desk. We had no other options but to walk back! We (me and Jordan) got back to the school 30 minutes late for my class and soaking wet!

Jordan's First Football Game

Jordan is on the Woodville Jaguars team! We had alot of fun at his opening jamboree today! I was really surprised at how good these little kids are! The age group is 7-9 but they are really talented.

Here are some pictures and one video of the day.

Pictures the girls took?

I found these pics on my camera. I guess the kiddos were messing around. I cannot figure out how they managed to do the color like this, but it is pretty cool!

Volleyball, Volleyball, Volleyball

First game coming up next Friday in Albany. Unfortunately we will be missing one or two players. In fact we haven't had a practice with everyone there yet!!
Got a call from the team that beat us at final four last year and they have lost two of their best players! (Interesting)
The one team that we just could not beat last year canceled their varsity volleyball schedule! (What?)
Oh Well, looking forward to a blast at practice on Thursday! Make sure you come or you will miss out on a lot of fun!!!

5 Year Old Potty Mouth

Do you remember when you said your first cuss word? I remember mine. I was in first grade I think and I had heard some boys a school say the "d" word and thought it sounded cool. So when my mom came to pick me up from school, I got in the truck and tried to pull the door shut. I couldn't get it on the first try so I realized the perfect opportunity to use the new word I learned.
Me: "I can't shut the "d" door!
Mom: What did you say?
Me: (not realizing it was bad) " I said, I can't shut the "d" door!
I don't know if my mom laughed on the inside, but I do remember that she made it very clear that we did not say that word....ever!

Yesterday Camryn learned a new word.
Dan and I were both in the bathroom in our room getting ready to go out on a date. Our babysitter was in the living room and the kids were just running around chasing each other and playing some crazy game.
All the sudden they barge into our room and Jordan runs into the bathroom with Camryn close behind. He runs into the back part of the bathroom and slams the door laughing.
Camryn comes in and bangs on the door yelling (and I quote)
"Jordan, come out right now or I'm gonna kick your 'a'!"
Dan and I both looked at each other and then at Camryn who at that time did not realize that anything was wrong and the two of us started cracking up laughing.
It probably took a good 5 seconds before we could compose ourselves in order to confront her with a new "learning experience"
It is so hard to correct them when you can't keep a straight face.
Anyway, this unfortunately is not her first bad word, it is the second. We have already had the discussion about the "d" word with her!
What a potty mouth!
